Australian businesses / SMS
Digital Urgency SMS
Useful messages, sent with a clear purpose.
Digital Urgency SMS helps Australian businesses plan appointment reminders, service updates and permission-based campaigns. Start with the message, the audience and the reply or unsubscribe route, then connect a sending workflow that fits your business.

Sender and reply-path assessment
Illustrative scope. Features and delivery terms are confirmed in your proposal.
Built around a real business need
A short text can be helpful when it tells a customer what they need to know. It can also become unwelcome quickly. Separate service messages from marketing, avoid unnecessary personal information and give your team a clear process for replies, failed delivery and opt-outs.
What a considered setup can do
Keep customers informed
Scope timely reminders or service updates around genuine customer needs.
Give replies an owner
Decide which team will handle responses and what happens outside business hours.
Respect contact preferences
Maintain the agreed consent records and suppression process for marketing.
Understand the real cost
Review message volume, length, sender options and any connection fees before choosing a plan.

How we approach the work
01. Define the message
Identify its purpose, recipients and contact permissions.
02. Build the workflow
Check sender behaviour, reply routing and unsubscribe handling.
03. Test before sending
Review sample messages and suppression rules before a live campaign.
Compare the approach, not just the feature list
These are general decision points. The selected setup and capabilities are confirmed for your business.
| Approach | Useful when | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| DU SMS | A short permitted reminder or update is useful. | Check sender behaviour, consent and opt-outs. |
| The customer needs longer information or documents. | Maintain preferences and a monitored reply route. | |
| Phone call | The subject needs discussion or clarification. | Assign staff and follow applicable calling rules. |
Privacy and responsible use
We agree the information required, who can access it and the handling responsibilities before setup. Data hosting and retention depend on the selected configuration; Australian-only processing is not assumed.
For marketing messages, plan consent, sender identification and a functional unsubscribe process under the applicable spam rules. Outbound telemarketing also needs an assessment of Do Not Call Register requirements and relevant calling standards.

Questions worth asking
Can we send bulk SMS?
Volume sending can be scoped once consent, sender requirements and the delivery workflow are checked. Buying a list does not remove your responsibilities.
Can customers reply?
That depends on the selected sender type. Some branded sender names cannot receive replies, so an appropriate alternative contact or opt-out path is required.
Are reminders the same as marketing?
Their purpose and content matter. Adding promotional material can change the assessment. We review the proposed message rather than relying on its label.
How is pricing calculated?
The quote considers message volume, message length, sender arrangements and integration work. Charges and GST treatment are stated before approval.
Can it connect to our booking system?
We check available triggers and permissions. A connection is included only after its scope and behaviour are confirmed.
